Kids are always excited about watching theatre shows at KC Arts Centre Home of Singapore Repertory Theatre. As a parent, we feel it is a good experience for them to see the story lines which they have only read about in the books. Isn’t it fascinating to watch them in the real?
Yesterday, we went to watch “Hanuman: The Superhero Monkey” and it was a totally different experience watching it.
Aayan & Kaira really enjoyed those multi-sensory effects during this show and can’t imagine Kaira was glued to the set for an hour. Even after the show ended, she kept asking,” Why Sita got lost? Why everyone was looking for Sita? I was quite happy to hear that she did understand what she watched.
The core story is taken from Hindu mythology of Ramayana but the depiction is a bit different and its been modernized with adding interesting characters and funny moments.
We find this show was different from the rest other shows we have seen here and it has a new concept with the visual effects.
What you can expect in this show:
“Meet Hanuman: The Superhero Monkey”, who destroys monsters, defeats evil kings and restores order to the world. Follow his journey, part cartoon, part film, part musical and part physical theatre, into a land of myth, mystery and many adventures.
A small clipping of this show-
Watch worlds and landscapes change in the blink of an eye and witness the extraordinary feats of Hanuman and his cheeky band of monkey friends as they battle to create a better world.
This show is suitable for children and adults, this multi-sensory theatre experience is a superhero journey unlike anything seen before in Singapore.

We love the productions at SRT Theatre always and are intrigued by the multimedia presentation style of this latest production. Hope to win the tickets to catch the production in person.
I should win this in order to show my kids a story from our Indian Epic Hanuman and enjoy some family time on a holiday!
I read this story before. Whoa! for sure this is a fun show.
Would love to catch such an interesting multimedia production with my family!
I really wish i had enough time to join this kind of contest/giveaway..
This looks quite interesting. I don’t think I’ve heard of this story haha But it definitely looks like something kids would enjoy
Great show, will share this post with my friends in Singapore 🙂
A story from the epic Indian literature. I couldn’t imagine how would the modernized version be. One thing for sure, it requires a lot of creativity even to make a simple enhancement to the already grand storyline. And a live performance is just so different compared to what we see on TV.
I wish I could experience this as well. Hopefully they will have similar shows in Malaysia too.
