Parenting experiences by Prachi
Our Star of the week “Anika” mom Prachi wants to share her experience with Mums&Babies.

Prachi & Nitin and got married in November 2003 and she along with her husband moved to singapore as he was already working here just after 5 days of being married. In a couple of months, I too found a job and both of us became busy with our lives.
Prachi says “we had been trying for a baby since a long time but with no success. They even consulted some doctors and all the reports were normal for both of us and our doctor advised us to go on a holiday to relieve ourselves from stress due to which it was taking a long time to conceive”
Prachi reminisce “In January 2009, I was working in a local school as a relief teacher. I was experiencing many positive feelings at this time… On 8th Feb, when I used the pregnancy testing kit and got positive result, both of us were excited and nervous at the same time… Immediately we fixed an appointment with a Gynaecologist to confirm my pregnancy and it was positive.

This is when we told our family about the Big News!!
Her pregnancy was quite smooth with no nausea .She delivered her baby girl  “Anika” at 1:55 pm on 29th September, 2009 in KK Hospital
Life changed for me the moment I held her in my arms.. I could do anything for her..I am a stay-at-home mom since then and looking after my darling daughter.. I play with her, laugh at her silly noises, make videos when she does something for the first time, click endless pics of her wherever and whenever to have a beautiful memories with me.
It was such a wonderful feeling when I noticed the smile that lit up my baby’s face the moment I entered the room and I feel proud to be a mother.
Anika loves music and she always stopped crying whenever we sing any nursery rhyme for her.. now a days, she loves to watch songs and cartoon on TV or our laptop and loves playing outdoors and make friends.
I wish for all the happiness in the world for her.. May God bless my child !
I truly feel that Mums & Babies community is a significant part of the lives of all the moms and moms-to-be.. It feels good when you see other moms experiencing the same joys and you feel relieved when you see them struggling with the same problems.. Keep up the good work!!
