My elder one started early with an infant care at age of 6 months followed by a child care then to a kindergarten but all were in the proximity of my office. When it came to my second one, I had a luxury of spending time with kids at home. So, we didn’t start her with any playschool until 18 months. Even though I felt at 18 months, it is not required as such but she used to cry while dropping her brother to school.
So, we started looking for a playschool nearby our home, trust me I was not looking for any big names with endless waiting list where my little one is lost but somewhere with fewer kids and more attention and fun. As a parent, for us teacher is most important as she is the one with whom kids connect and build a relationship.
Well, we found one playschool near to our place and we were equally excited for her 1st day in the playschool.
All set ready to go…… My dad is always there for me !As this was her first step outside the home with all unknown faces and first time when mumma will not be there to accompany her every second. We both have attended the playschool with her and to keep her engaged . She did cried but we were amazed that she was still very cheerful and look forward to it.
We enjoyed the poems, singing and dancing sessions in between but she was observing other kids and teacher. She loved the various activities especially -sorting.Look at their concentration which lasted for a second but you will get the feel as if they can sit (Don’t even dream about it). How difficult it was for all of them to sit for a minute.
I go so many preschools to do ‘hunting’ and found the ideal for my kids!~
Kids act like kids. So cute!
I’m glad your little girl was looking forward to her playschool! I remember how often my little cousin cried in hopes to skip kindie!
Awww~ Your baby girl is so cute! From her face looks like she enjoy a lot at playschool! haha 🙂
I don’t have any kids but this should be useful for my friend that just delivered a baby girl! 😀
Ahaaaa…. Reminds me of my sister’s daughter who is also in Singapore. Saw a video of her first day in play school and she too did things like this – exploring everything around her, climbing on all furniture etc. Waiting for your next post, what happened????
Oh yes! Your as cute as your bag. First time in school can be very awkward to kids, having a weird feeling towards a level of exposure to life. However, in most cases, it always turns out fun, exploring and rewarding for the kids in the long run.
both my kids are still staying at home, the older one is already 3. Looking for a place for him too soon.
Oh dear hope something drastic didn’t happen after those 3 days!

My #1 cried for 1 month when he started N1 though he’s enjoying school now at K2. My #2 started N1 for 3 months now and is still crying everyday and I wonder if he’s ever going to stop… Zzz…..
This sounds like an amazing experience for kids, it’s nice to get them exposed so they won’t be shy and quiet when it’s time for the big school! She seems like she’s having fun! Really curious as to why it only lasted for 3 days though.
aw she is so cute! and looks like she’s enjoying it. it is important to find the right play school
She looks so cute on her first day. It looks like she really had fun.
Awww, it must have been a super fun experience & you must be one proud mommy. I’m sure you were more than thrilled for your daughter. I think it’s great that you’re having your little one start early. She looked like she really enjoyed play school.
Picking the right play school sounds more serious than it seems. I guess it needs to be looked into before making a commitment.
She looks so adorable, all the best in your study ya darling 🙂
