We all know how our bags look like when going out with kids- wet wipes, tissues, water bottles, sanitizer, cutlery and many more to list here. Eating with them at the restaurant or the food court is always a messy affair and i think been a virgo that cleaning , hygiene is the word in my head always . Sometime it is quite taxing on me !!
Recently while doing my shopping i bought a silicon mat for my kitchen but then i am using it in a totally different way- Table mat !! Yes 🙂
I am using it from last 6 months now, so whenever we go out specially in the food court I will put this mat on the table and the best part as it will stick to the table and won’t move at all. So it is a perfect solution for my toddler who wants to self feed herself. I used to take her plate/bowl earlier but then she would turn it and most of the time food was on the floor. Food court/ Restaurant trays are not properly cleaned.
Now I will put this mat on the table or on her chair while eating outside and she loves to put all the food on this mat while eating which is just perfect for me till the time she enjoys and eat her meal.
After she has eaten her food I will just clean it with wet wipes fold it and put the cutlery inside. Later wash it at home properly.

What a fantastic idea! I have totally been there and would have loved a silicon mat, would have made life so much easier! Love the colour too, so vibrant! Sim x
It did make my life easier and quite simple for kids to use it.
Interesting idea for a reusable plate that would not spill. You just have to make sure this mat is very clean of course, before putting the food. It will take getting used to, I think.
Yes. Specially for kids who want to self feed and definitely it has to be clean just like a plate.
This is such a great placemat, so easy to quickly take away and clean up. we have sticky one too so they can't been flung over the table.
Good for small kids who are learning to self feed themselves.
Nice way! It is easy to clean but will it carry germs? Because I know some mats get stain by bacteria pretty easily!
I dont have any problem using this mat as i clean it with hot water.
silicone mats are definitely useful! they're definitely a lot easier to clean
