With young kids and a busy lifestyle making a smart move is a must for every household these days and for us, it is a smart and family-friendly new Dyson V12 detect slim submarine. We have been using a Dyson vacuum for the last 5-6 years and it is part of our home that even kids can use on their own now, so no more parent’s duty.
The first thing that caught my eye was the new Submarine wet roller and the hair screw tool as they both look like game changers for everyday cleaning. Isn’t this seem like a complete set with one tool which illuminates the hidden dirt another does dry and wet cleaning, and sucks the hair up from your upholstery… WOW!!
Honestly, for years I have been thinking about why Dyson has not introduced the wet cleaning feature in their vacuum cleaners, especially in the Singapore market. Given that it is such a hot and humid country with a minimal carpeted area at home, wet cleaning is a must but quite time-consuming.
Dyson Submarine Wet Roller
This is such a handy feature for everyday use whether you just want to clean up the mess or spill around your dining area, kitchen, or entire home, and here’s why it is helpful-
- For me, the most important feature is that it uses a small amount of water as compared to the traditional way of mopping/cleaning the floor.
- Time-saving and able to clean hard-reach areas
- Using the vacuum is so easy that even kids can do it on their own
- The microfiber roller removes any spills, stains and debris on the floor.
- The roller attachment is equipped with a 300ml clean water reservoir and a 360ml dirty water container, providing sufficient capacity to clean an area of up to 110m2. No need for water buckets that can pose spillage and safety risks for children.

Love this one, especially for people with high allergies and dust is one of those, I am so prone to it that once start sneezing it only gets worse but now I can see those hidden traces of dust accumulated.
It not only reveals twice the amount of dust invisible to the naked eye but Acoustic Dust sensing automatically increases suction power across different floor types and dust amounts. HEPA Filtration system captures 99.99% of particles.
Single-button power control
No need to hold the trigger and do your cleaning, If you are an existing Dyson user You know what I mean. It is not so comfortable on your fingers when you have to keep pressing the power control for the entire time. Happy to see the single button control and no need to keep pressing it so you go hands-free.
During cleaning, the LCD screen shows the particle count graph, with the remaining run time colour-coded to indicate the power mode selected.
Hair Screw tool
This attachment tool is small and very handy yet very effective. I hate my hair strands everywhere and can’t do much about it but just keep picking them up. That’s why I mentioned that I was excited to try this as I can use this for picking my hair from my pillow, mattress, floor,or even sofa corners. 
Overall, love the Dyson V12s Detect Slim Submarine as an easy-to-use, efficient, and time-saving cleaning tool that is ideal for busy parents and families. The new power button is handy and does not make the entire process tiring, even the LCD function is good. Again, the run time is usually 60 minutes but it depends on which mode you use frequently, and for me, I love using the Boost mode.
I wish I could use the attachments on my existing Dyson because it would have been easier for me but the new Subamrine attachment is incompatible with the previous Dyson versions. If you are looking for dry and wet cleaning in one machine then the new Dyson Submarine is the solution for you.
