Ginger, the iconic all-day dining restaurant at PARKROYAL on Beach Road located in the cultural precinct of Kampong Gelam,the restaurant celebrates the rich flavours and heritage of Singapore and is set to tantalise palates of every kind.
We recently there for a quiet dinner and opted for à la carte dinner menu, I have also checked on their page that they have launched a refreshed à la carte and new set lunch menu to feature a myriad of local delights.
The refreshed menu is curated by Executive Chef Vincent Aw, where he conjures dishes with flavours and textures unique to the diverse ethnicity and food cultures in Singapore. Some of the local starters we tried at the restaurant.
Crispy Zing Wings- Crispy chicken wings coated in a sweet, spicy and tangy sauce
I am actually in love with satay all the time so had to try one here too.. Singapore Satay- Grilled Chicken marinated in spices, served with rich peanut sauce accompanied by rice cakes, cucumber and red onions.
If you are looking for a vegetarian starter option then try out these spring rolls- Crispy deep fried with shredded mushroom, cabbage and carrots.
Tried this Hainanese Chicken Chop – Grilled boneless chicken marinated with Chef’s special sauce that is served with a side of fries, baked beans, coleslaw and garlic bread. I felt the portion was really good enough.
Beef Rendang –Look at the colour and stewed beef cheek cooked together with a spice paste and coconut milk until fork-tender. Topped with chopped cashew nuts and kaffir lime leaves.
A meal is not complete without a dessert and went with Chendol Ice cream with Coconut and gula Melaka ice cream with pandan chendol jelly bits.
