SG Hotel on Wheels(SHOW): Staycation in a container

Have you heard about SG Hotel on Wheels(SHOW)? Nikhil and I are quite fascinated with Tiny Homes and always wondered how it feels like living in a container. Finally decided to experience the same at SG Hotel on Wheels(SHOW).

It is the first of its kind, SgHotelOnWheels (SHOW) is Singapore’s first-ever roving concept container hotel that is set to dock at various exciting locations around Singapore!

We were surprised to know that these containers are parked in an open-air carpark at Begonia Carpark, Downtown East. You will be welcomed with cheery, bright colours containers.

There are a total of 10 containers in two different sizes- 20 ft- Suitable for couples and 40ft- Suitable for a family of 4 people(same household and vaccinated)

The Check-in timings are 3 pm and check out is 11 am. We have checked in around 3 pm but it was raining so heavily that couldn’t capture the entire carpark and the carnival area next to the containers.

Each and every SHOWroom is designed with a unique theme for you to experience. We got ourselves the 40 ft SHOWroom in Street Punk Studio theme and absolutely fall in love with it.

This is the main area where you can dine in, sleep, watch TV and it comes along with an air purifier as well. You can turn this sofa into a bed good enough for a teenager.

This is the bedroom which also comes with a TV set and Netflix choice.

Some of the complimentary stuff is provided in the room along with the Free Wifi.

Nice and sleek kitchen along with a refrigerator, microwave and induction plate if you wish to cook. They have provided the cutlery, cooking pots as well. A Nespresso coffee machine along with a hot kettle as well.

The Food is not provided in the package but you have a choice to deliver the food to your SHOWroom or it is just next to the Downtown Mall so you can walk down to eat and so many options to dine in. Fairprice, 7 eleven are also there so if you wish to bring something and cook for those midnight hunger pangs. I always feel so hungry at night whenever out for a stay.

Love the Bathroom here and pretty good space for a small container room.

There is a lovely and colourful outside compound for you to sit down and enjoy a cup of Tea/Coffee. It is quite a private area outside every container with beach chairs.

All the bookings are inclusive of Wild Wild Wet tickets which is just a stone’s throw away so you can enjoy a great splash!

Booking for 20 footers is going on from $180+ and for 40 footers $220+ for one night.
