I feel today is the best day to share how “TheMumsandBabies” was born.
As first-time parents who have just moved to a foreign land and were expecting their child everything looks so doubtful without any family support.
Everything right from stepping into labour, the mind was popping with a never-ending series of questions; what is good for my baby, why is he crying, every small instance seems big with the little one.
We hardly knew anyone then and had no friends in Singapore at that time to ask for help! It still gives me jitters about how we managed it all.
The only thing that used to come to our mind was to call mom, sometimes even in the middle of the night, asking about doubts.
Or most of the time searching on the internet like everyone but in the end, as first-time parents, we were so confused.
TheMumsandbabies was Born
13 years ago- on 7th October’2008 afternoon when I was playing with my then 6 months old little one, I thought of having a parenting group of close friends with whom we can comfortably share our concerns.
So if any of you remember about ORKUT that was the first platform where I have created this group and my blog came later.
A common platform where we can come together to help the mums-to-be and an attempt to make life easier for the mums to help them get the most out of this beautiful phase of life.
A place that is not just a virtual group where you can get answers to the questions but rather a place that is just like a home with people who personally know each other and more like an extended family.
Best friend and a first place which comes to the mind to share anything and everything about parenthood …
…and then….
TheMumsandBabies was born!
