It was officially our first meet of the year 2016 for Singapore parent bloggers and we decided to make it worth visiting for our kids. We were at “Kaboodle Kids”at East Coast Parkway (Big Splash) with a brand new review and a giveaway for a happy start of this year. Kaboodle Kids is Singapore’s only playground where you and your kids both can use their imagination to make best out of blocks.
Though when we entered the place, the first thought was that it is not really a big place for kids to keep them engaged for a long time. You will be amazed to see how much kids love this place – “Create and destroy at the same time “

Aayan was quite excited as he loves building structure with his Jenga and lego, so these blocks gave him another opportunity to run his imagination.
Kaira was equally participating in building blocks with her own imagination. I was happy to see that she kept herself engaged in making something out of it.
She enjoyed balancing herself on this little piece of block.

Imagination playground is the brainchild of David Rockwell, which consists of giant blocks that encourages unstructured, child-directed free play. This kind of play as per experts is critical to a child’s intellectual, social, physical and emotional development.
Best part about this playarea was that we had 10-15 kids playing of different age and everyone had their own creative idea to built/play with these blocks.

The party room has a separate entrance which can be accessed from outside as well as inside. It is just nice for eating food as not much space for kids to run around, so keeping in mind play and food area separately.
You can actually order the food from their menu or else can order your food from outside as well. I find it really very convenient as some parents want to cater separately depending on their preferences. Party room is well equipped with a washing sink, their own cutlery, Whiteboard walls for decoration.
We were treated to yummy Indonesian food after a tiring session of play for parents and kids from “Pondok Gurame Indonesian Restaurant” also located in the same building.

Kids enjoying their meal and portion was quite big for them to finish all and very filling.
Kids were back to play after food while we parents were still enjoying our conversation.
Kids were quite tired playing for 3-4 hours.

I fondly remember the Indonesian food Pondok Gurame! Think this was where we first met lol! My son used the blue blocks to build a robot 🙂
