Wind Chime craft kids

Wind Chime
We made this craft long time ago but today was browsing some old pics with my kids, so thought of putting it here even though didnt get the chance to capture it step by step but quite easy to keep your little kids occupied.
This is one of those rainy day craft when kids can’t go out and play, you don’t have to worry about the material as it is more of those recycle stuff lying around and rest from our craft box.

Material used
Paper cup
Colourful Beads
Straw
Pipe Cleaner
String
Angry bird/ Happy birthday gift wrapper( from one of those presents)  – you can use stickers as well. Now christmas is coming surely you will have lots of wrapper- save some good designs from them and use them later for some crafts with kid.

We took the paper cup and did some paper cutting from the gift papers ( I have used angry bird/ happy birthday gift wrapper to  help my little one to understand happy and angry face.

On one side of the cup he has pasted happy things and on other side was angry things. I feel sometime these easy to make craft at home helps kids to learn many things and at the same time give them a feeling of accomplishment.

Cut the straw into small pieces, take a string put a knot first and start putting the beads and straw alternatively through string leaving some space towards the end as we will be tying the knot on the other side. Do this for all 4 sides .

Punch a hole on the cup and tie the string on all four sides, we put a ribbon bow to make it fancy.

In the centre of the cup take a long string and towards the end put few beads and bells. Here is your own wind chime specially designed by little maker. You can make it using just beads if you don’t have any straw. Soon I am going to try another one with my toddler and this time promise more pics.
