Early this morning we visited Sainte Chapelle, Saint Michel and now heading to Luxembourg Gardens. We have not planned to visit this place but since Aayan is a Chess fan and he read somewhere that people in France play Chess here.
The Jardin du Luxembourg or the Luxembourg Gardens is pretty huge and you will see people casually sitting here and relaxing. Since we went during the winter months people were trying to catch the winter sun but surely this will be a great picnic or sports spot during summer. Here at the Marie de Medici Fountain.
Since it was the coldest and windy day in Paris so everyone around us said that there might not be anyone playing today. Most of the tables were empty and but we got lucky and saw one table playing.
You will find it around the tennis courts and the rose garden and you will find Paris’s most committed chess enthusiasts meet every day to play.
A visit to Jardin de Luxembourg was worth it with that smile.
Place Saint Sulpice
Place Saint Sulpice is a large public square, dominated on its eastern side by the Church of Saint-Sulpice. It was built in 1754 as a tranquil garden in the Latin Quarter of the 6th arrondissement of Paris.
The Fontaine Saint-Sulpice is a monumental fountain located here.

and a crepe is a must! though I find it a little overrated we even tried some street cafes also and trust me in this weather anything hot is heavenly.
Can I order one hot chocolate please……
We visited the Opera House after lunch on a rainy day and the queue was pretty long.
The interior is spectacular, and there are guided tours as well to help you navigate around if you wish to learn more about the history of this place.
We didn’t get to visit the auditorium as it was closed to the public so just went ahead to the parts which were accessible to the public. Do make sure before heading and check if the auditorium is open or not because, for us, we really wanted to see the auditorium with our little ballerina.
How to get there

Auber • 2 min walk
The rain didn’t stop at all and It was freezing cold. Next stop – Starbucks because I wanted to check this out after seeing it on Instagram. Presenting here is a little disappointed girl who waited for so long but didn’t manage to get a seat.
