Paris was the very first destination of our Europe Trip and on our list for so long, especially for Kaira. She wanted to visit Paris like forever so for her it was Dream come true!
Here we are in Paris after 15 hours of flight and reached Paris in the morning. We have opted for AirBnB for the trip as we find it more convenient to have the entire place to ourselves with kids and a kitchen. Before you plan your travel to Paris, you can take note of a few things.
- Planning your trip according to the season – This totally depends on your preference whether you like travelling during summer, winter, or fall seasons.
- Planning your accommodation- You can opt for a hotel or Airbnb
- Bringing comfortable shoes
- We travelled in November end and the weather was pretty cold/windy, raining most of the time. Bring along your Umbrellas
- Most of the museums are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
After check-in headed out straight to explore the street with a quick brunch nearby. We are not fussy with food and all of us can eat everything but if you are a vegetarian then you having a kitchen will be wonderful.
The place where we stayed there were supermarkets like Carrefour nearby and also the local market for fresh produce- Fruits, salads, and bakery.
It was a cold and gloomy day we decided to take a train to the city area and I would say that to explore any place, the best way is to walk or take public transport like trains or buses.
You can actually get the Navigo Travel Pass for Paris and it is valid from Monday to Sunday. Even if you buy on a Friday, it will be valid from Friday to Sunday. We have reached on the weekend and they don’t sell the card on weekends, so couldn’t buy it.
They have discounted tickets in the pack of 10, so those are also good to go as we travelled mostly by train.
Sharing our travel map to give a little idea which all places we have covered. Click on the top left and choose day-wise to see the itinerary. This map has our entire trip from Paris to Budapest.
Day 1 : Trocadero Gardens, Eiffel Tower
We started with a walk around Trocadero Gardens and went up to Eiffel Tower. We would have spent a good 4-5 hours around the place as we wanted to see Eiffel Tower both in daylight as well as night time. It was damn cold and windy too.
It rained in between but we decided to stay over and see the Eiffel Tower at night … believe me, it is so magical to see.
This was Day 1 in Paris and read about Day 2 here…
Paris Day 3- Sainte Chapelle, Conciergerie, Place Saint-Michel
