How we bonded over meditation during circuit breaker time. 🧘‍♀️

We all are living a busy and stressful life these days, this year, in particular, has added more anxiety among everyone with some uncertainty.

Be it for us adults getting used to new work from home setup or for kids to getting used to the new technology-based education and classes minus outdoor activities and not seeing friends.

We all need some way to keep our minds calm and happy. We got some time on our hands to do many activities during circuit breaker-   our everyday walk to baking/cooking or playing old-style board games.

One of the activities which work perfectly for us is practising meditation together as a family.

It was Nikhil who suggested that we should start doing it every day.

At times kids find it tiring and can’t sit close ng their eyes with their minds wandering.

To be honest, it took us a while and even until today Kaira at times feels a bit tired. Then Aayan makes sure that we as a family do it every day before going to bed.

It was easier when everyone was at home but now we all are back to our routine. We have fixed a timing 30 minutes before going to bed we sit on our living room floor, turn off all the lights and lit our Himalayan salt lamp to get a peaceful environment.

Aayan & Kaira do mention that after meditation they feel so relaxed that they almost fell asleep. I feel that it is definitely helping us to have a calmer routine. Indeed which is very important for mental health as well.

I am sure scientifically meditation has many benefits from mental to physical and emotional but we started it with a thought to practice it together as a family every single day and something which we can look forward to.
