Kids success or failure or are we just raising a perfect generation – How does that sound to you?
Yesterday night Kaira said that she had to write a few lines about her school term break and she is going to speak in front of her class. She wrote and said let me practice in front of the mirror first because what if I will forget and will feel embarrassed in front of my class.
I thought for a minute and really… Can 7 years old think that ways if they will miss something or not at par they will feel embarrassed?
But Is this how we want to raise a perfect generation and not the one who will learn from every experience or failure? Do you feel as much as succeeding in their life is important so does the failing teaches them?
Somewhere as a parent we always associate our kids’ success or failure with our parenting. If our kids succeed then we are good at parenting if they won’t succeed then we are not a good parent.
Though we know that failures are part of the learning and we learn from them every time. If our kids will not miss an opportunity or not make a mistake then how they will know how they can bounce back.
I asked Kaira today that how was it and she said,” I forgot to speak a couple of things but then I was smiling in my mind that it is ok🥰.”
Are we creating an environment where we celebrate only success and not hard work??
