I have been travelling with my kids since they were 2 months old and as much as I enjoy exploring new places with them the only thing which always bothers me is that it is impossible to sleep with kids on a flight. Sometime back I was reading about the Bedbox and thought to explore more when I came across Jetkids Bedbox.
We received our first class travel super fast in a couple of days before our flight to India and kids thought we got it from the airlines for travelling in the first class.
Our first thought was is it a suitcase or a bed or both?
BedBox® is primarily a premium ride-on suitcase and an ultimate travel gadget for children up to the age of 6-7 years. It is all in one box which is your hand luggage & ride-on suitcase. I would like to share my point of view and how convenient it is to set up, light to carry or how spacious it is!
WEIGHT
The entire suitcase along with the mattress weighs only 3 kgs and the mattress inside is washable.
- Weight only 3kg including mattress
- Dimensions (LxWxH): 46cm x 20cm x 36cm
- Swivel wheels in front allows excellent manoeuvring
- Washable mattress (Hand wash & air dry)
- 20-litre volume gives enough storage for favourite items
STORAGE
Though this Bedbox is pretty light at 3 kgs but have the space capacity of 20 litres and the mattress does not take up so much of space inside. You can keep many other handy or favourite things for kids inside the suitcase and they come very handy(as you don’t even have to get up for it).
Kaira has kept her dolls, a colouring book, crayons, wet wipes and some candies inside the Bedbox to entertain herself and to give a big hug to her dolls when sleeping inside the flight.
We didn’t get the time to do before so while waiting for our flight we stick them all.
BedBox must be stowed away during taxi, take-off, landing so in the meantime she was just resting her feet on it. This Bedbox is a perfect travel companion for parents as it can be used not only during the air fly but can be used on trains and ferries.
You can keep your Bedbox under the front seat during take off and landing.
Five step Inflight bed/leg-rest
1. Lift – Place case in front of seat. Press buttons and lift lid.
2. Turn – Turn lid and adjust according to seat height at the desired place.
3. Secure – Use the strap to secure the suitcase to the aircraft seat structure.
4. Pull – Pull out extension plate towards the seat in front.
5. Enjoy your flight – Unfold the mattress and place the side cushions
Set up the bedbox level to your seat level and secure it with the belt.
Roll out the mattress and it is exactly the length of seat pitch which is 82-90 cm. The BedBox can be used as a comfortable leg rest for children up to 120-130cm.
Kids can sit comfortably and it was so easy even when food was served. Bedbox can be used even when the front seat is reclined.
Here my little doll sleeping with her little doll! Do make sure to put the seat belt even when they are sleeping.
You can purchase the Bedbox from Jetkids website!
I want to be a kid again just to ride this! Or have a KS! Lol
Oh wow! When I saw this I was wondering how it was different to a Trunky which are so popular but that is such a clever idea! Did the kids find it easier to sleep like this?
Please share more details about the product like the price. I will love get it.
