When we moved to our new home last year, we didn’t get the enough time to do any renovation or changes and just painted all the walls in a neutral colour so that it was easier to match the furniture. A couple of months back, I have received an email from Nippon to tie up with them on their professional services.
Do I have any reasons to say, “NO” when the best brand is offering their professional service to make my home look beautiful?
The team was extremely helpful in letting us decide at our own convenience and guided step by step from coordinating, Inspection, selection of paint- Base wall / momento series.
1. Coordinating
It took me some time to coordinate over the emails, phone and WhatsApp to decide on the time and meeting up with the professional painting team since my hubby was not around that time and I had to decide on choosing a colour and which particular wall to paint. The team was very patient with my emails and messages despite cancelling it last minute too.
2. Inspection
On the day of the inspection, Wan Ting from the marketing team and Alan, Project Manager visited us to do a pre-painting assessment of our wall conditions and to see whether we need any coverage for rest of the walls in that room.
They also highlighted what we can expect on the day of the actual paint and the team who will come for painting will make sure to take care of all valuable and cover all the furniture, flooring, switches etc in the room with the plastic sheets.
3. Paint Booklet
The team handed over the colour booklet to look for the base colour to match the momento series. They did mention to explore all the colour combination in the colour booklet. They have got different types of paints like Odour-less Easywash, Vinyl Silk, Mozzie Guard etc and you can check the entire range on their website.
4. Choosing the paint
When we painted the home before moving our painting guy did the odourless paint for us so that we can move without any wait and since I am very much allergic to the strong smell, it worked brilliantly for me and no sneezing. We went for odourless for the featured walls this time also. After that came the important part to decide on the momento series colour and I must say that it was challenging.
5. Selecting a room
It is easier to decide the colours for the kids’ room as we can go ahead with shades of pink or blue but we decided to paint our living room. Our living room has more wooden furniture and vintage rustic decor, so we have to keep the entire room in our mind before selecting the colour and which wall to choose.
6. Colour Theme
Our current room paint is neutral and earthy so matching the furniture accordingly was not very difficult. We actually prefer to keep the colour in neutral for all our rooms and not too overwhelming colours. Now since everything is already set up in the home we have to play with the colours as we can’t do anything with the furniture at this moment. Our initial thought was to go with some shades of shimmer Gold as most of my furniture is wooden and in earthy colour.
7. Finalise the date
After we have decided everything at our end, we just need to give the final date and time to Nippon Team for the paint work.
You can check the Nippon website for more details and get a quote for their painting services.
We were pretty excited how the shade will transform the look of our room. Stay tuned for my next post on how the new paint will enhance the look of our room.
