Aloo Puri/Poori

Aloo Puri
Aloo Puri is one of the most popular or comfort food prepared in almost all homes. I consider it as one of my childhood delicacies which I still relish while preparing them for my family.

Aloo Puri recipe

Ingredients
Potato- 3-4 (Diced)
Onion /Tomato- 6 tbsp ( I made a paste)
Ginger/garlic(Grated)-1 tbsp
Turmeric- 1/4 tsp
Red Chilli powder- 1/4 tsp
Coriander powder- 1/2 tsp
Kasuri Methi- 1/4 tsp
Cumin seeds- a pinch
Salt
Hing- a pinch
Curry leaves (optional)
Curd(optional)- 1-2 tsp
Water- 2 1/2 cups
Coriander for garnish

Poori(Puri) recipe

Method
In a Pan take some oil ,add cumin seeds and Kasuri methi. Once they start to splutter add ginger, garlic to it.

Stir until garlic change the colour. Add few curry leaves to it followed by hing.

Now add onion/tomato paste to it and cook until it start leaving the sides.

Add all the spices here and cook for 5 -7 minutes.

If you want it to be slightly sour add 1-2 tsp of curd to it and mix it well.

Add the cut potatoes into it and stir them together followed by adding water.

On a low flame cover the pan and cook for 20 minutes or until potatoes are cooked and gravy is slightly thick.

# You can also take boiled potato and cook the water first and adding the potato later.
